What are the monthly costs?
The device costs a one-time fee of £99.95. In addition, there is the service tariff: £15.95 per month for the Basic or £27.90 per month with the 24/7 emergency call centre.
You can choose the tariff later at your convenience via the app; the first month is free.
Does my mother need a smartphone?
No. The bracelet has its own mobile connection built in and works without a phone and without Wi-Fi.
The My Gardia app is for relatives, not for the wearer.
How does cost coverage by the long-term care insurance fund work?
From care level 1, the long-term care insurance fund pays a subsidy of €25.50 net per month towards the service costs. For those with statutory health insurance, this leaves a personal contribution of €0.00, while privately insured individuals pay approximately €2.55.
Gardia will submit the application digitally for you, immediately after purchase.
Who will be called in an emergency?
You decide. Either your saved emergency contacts are notified first, and Bosch's 24/7 emergency call centre takes over if no one can be reached there.
Alternatively, the alarm goes directly to the emergency call centre.
Does Gardia also work on the go?
Yes. Unlike traditional home emergency call systems, there is no base station that limits the range.
Gardia works at home, in the garden, while shopping and on holiday, almost anywhere in Europe.
What happens during a false alarm?
After fall detection, there are 20 seconds remaining. Pressing the button on the bracelet cancels the alarm.
The sensitivity of fall detection can be set in the app.
Can I return the bracelet?
Yes. If Gardia doesn't fit into your everyday life, return it within 30 days.
If the long-term care insurance fund rejects the application, nothing is automatically extended.
