Together for a good cause: Team Rynkeby cycles to Paris
Some projects do more than just move people from one place to another. They raise awareness, bring people together, and support families in need. That's why we support Team Rynkeby. This international charity cycling team has been raising money for seriously ill children for many years, cycling together to Paris every year. Thousands of participants across Europe dedicate themselves to this good cause, combining sport with social commitment. We also want to support this project and jointly raise awareness for the important work of the Children's Cancer Foundation.
What is Team Rynkeby?
Team Rynkeby was founded in Denmark in 2002. At that time, eleven amateur cyclists decided to cycle to Paris together. The original idea quickly developed into a large charity project. Today, Team Rynkeby is one of the most well-known charity cycling projects in Europe.
Currently participating are:
- more than 2,000 riders
- over 500 helpers
- more than 60 teams in 8 countries
- thousands of sponsors and supporters
Why we at Gardia support this project
Community, cohesion, and social commitment are values that are important to us. Team Rynkeby impressively demonstrates how people can achieve something positive together.
Particularly important to us is:
- Raising awareness for seriously ill children
- Making social commitment visible
- Fostering cohesion
- Actively involving our community
As a sponsor, we want to help ensure that this important message reaches as many people as possible. Because every kilometer cycled helps to create awareness and gather support for a good cause. Because every kilometer cycled should help to create awareness and support for a good cause.
Dominik Bremser will also be riding again this year
We are particularly pleased that our Head of Operations & Finance, Dominik Bremser, is once again part of Team Rynkeby RheinRuhr this year. Last year, he already cycled to Paris with the team and is now supporting the project again with great motivation, training, and team spirit. The upcoming tour marks the end of the current season. A total of around 1,040 kilometers and approximately 7,600 meters of elevation gain will be covered in eight days, together with around 70 other teams and about 2,500 riders from all over Europe.
Follow the tour together
The ride to Paris is not only a special experience for the riders. Our community can also follow the journey. During the tour, Dominik will share some insights directly from the route. On our Instagram channel, Dominik will report on:
- Training updates
- Impressions from the route
- Moments along the way
At the same time, we want to collectively raise awareness for the important work benefiting seriously ill children. Every bit of support counts and helps make the work of the Children's Cancer Foundation and Team Rynkeby more visible.
Team Rynkeby in Germany
Team Rynkeby is now represented by several teams in Germany as well. A total of eight German teams will start for the 2025/26 season.
These include, among others:
- Team Rynkeby Berlin
- Team Rynkeby Hamburg
- Team Rynkeby Munich
- Team Rynkeby RheinRuhr
- Team Rynkeby Black Forest
- Team Rynkeby Flensburg
The teams usually consist of 30 to 50 riders and additional members of the service team.
More than just sports
What's special about Team Rynkeby is that many participants are not professional athletes. Some have been cycling for a long time, while others only start training through the project. The key is not top athletic performance but shared motivation. Many people participate because they:
- want to do something meaningful
- want to be part of a community
- want to challenge themselves athletically
- want to support seriously ill children
It is precisely this sense of community that plays a major role in Team Rynkeby.
Preparing for Paris
The journey to Paris is an emotional goal for many participants, which they work towards together for months. In winter and spring, the teams train regularly together and prepare step by step for the long distance.
This often results in:
- Friendships
- strong team cohesion
- shared motivation
- personal achievements
Many participants therefore describe the tour not just as a sporting challenge but as a special life experience.
How you can support Team Rynkeby

Team Rynkeby is supported by more than just the cyclists. Every year, thousands of companies, sponsors and volunteers support the initiative and help raise donations for seriously ill children and their families.
Support is possible through, among other things:
- financial sponsorships
- donations in kind
- equipment and clothing
- catering for the teams
- vehicles and logistics
- organisational support
More than 4,500 sponsors are now involved with Team Rynkeby internationally. Together, they create a Europe-wide network that raises awareness for the good cause and supports important aid organisations.

Conclusion
Team Rynkeby shows how sport can connect people and at the same time achieve something positive. That's why we support the project with conviction and accompany the tour together with our community. "The days on the bike are exhausting, no question. But when you know why you're riding, many things become easier. It's not about arriving in Paris as quickly as possible, but about jointly raising awareness for families who need support. That's precisely why I'm looking forward to being there again this year."
