Gemeinsam Gutes tun: Unsere Spendenaktion für Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe

The Christmas season is a time for giving, and with our Merry caery Christmas campaign, that's exactly what we wanted to do: give back. For every Gardia emergency bracelet sold, we donated €5 to Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe e.V. Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to raise an amazing sum of €3,000 and now officially hand it over.

The Donation Handover in Münster

We made our way to Münster to personally present the check on behalf of our clients to Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe. Münster is one of the organization's three locations, alongside Munich and Deggendorf. There, we learned more about the valuable work of the organization:

"Thank you very much! We are really delighted. We support seniors throughout Germany who have fallen into financial hardship. Major challenges are often things like a broken washing machine, a defective refrigerator, or a necessary dental operation. Many of our seniors cannot afford such unexpected costs – and that's where we come in."
, Nadine Wittkamp

In addition to financial aid, Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe also promotes social participation:

"Our seniors often stay at home because they cannot afford social activities. That's why we organize theater visits, cinema afternoons, or excursions, such as a recent visit to the Christmas market in Soest. All of this is free of charge for the seniors."
, Nadine Wittkamp
Christmas is a time for giving and togetherness. Even in challenging times, seniors deserve to experience the warmth and joy of this special season.

The History of Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe

Look away when our senior citizens are most in need? That is out of the question for Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe! The organization was founded in Munich in 2003 by Lydia Staltner because the hardship of elderly people in her neighborhood was undeniable. Since then, the association has been committed nationwide to helping needy pensioners whose pensions, despite a long working life, are not enough for the bare necessities. Today, Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe supports over 31,000 senior citizens with financial aid and social participation.

How is Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe financed?

The organization now supports over 30,000 seniors nationwide. It is particularly important to note that Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe is funded exclusively by donations. There is no government funding – all projects are only possible through the support of companies, foundations, and private individuals.

"We are entirely donation-based and receive no government funding. Any support – whether from companies, foundations, or individuals – helps us continue our work. Without these donations, we would not be able to sustain our commitment."
, Nadine Wittkamp

How to donate?

Donations can be made at any time via the Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe website. There you will find the bank details for the three locations in Munich, Deggendorf, and Münster. If you are nearby, you can even stop by and hand over a donation in person.

"If you'd like to do some good, you can easily support us via our website. There are various ways to do so – whether it's a one-time donation, a sponsorship, or a food donation. Every euro helps!"
, Nadine Wittkamp

A huge thank you to our customers!

This fundraiser would not have been possible without you. Together, we can make a big difference and help seniors in need. We look forward to continuing to do good with you in the future!
